A Commitment to Women

Over the past 21 years, I have had the privilege of supporting women through anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, and periods of profound self-doubt.

Early in my career, I served as the onsite coordinator at a domestic violence shelter. Years later, after earning my MSW, I served as the Mental Health Director at another domestic violence shelter. Across both experiences, I witnessed the extraordinary strength of women rebuilding their lives after unimaginable circumstances. It reinforced something I continue to witness every day: women carry remarkable resilience, even when anxiety, trauma, or painful experiences have made it difficult for them to recognize it themselves.

I've seen firsthand how transformative it can be when a woman learns to trust herself. She spends less time questioning every decision, worrying about disappointing others, or looking for reassurance, and more time living in a way that feels true to who she is.

The Story Behind My Work

Helping women move beyond fear, self-doubt, and impossible expectations.

My path to becoming a therapist began when I was young, during one of the hardest times in my life. While my mother was experiencing a serious crisis, a school counselor made an intentional effort to check on me and support me in ways that went far beyond what was expected of her role.

She made me feel like what I was going through mattered and that I mattered. Her willingness to check on me and support me during that time left a lasting impression on me and ultimately inspired me to become a therapist.

That experience taught me how powerful it can be to feel truly seen. It also taught me that my pain mattered—something I had not fully believed at the time.

Today, I strive to create that same sense of safety, compassion, and understanding for the women I work with. I want every woman I work with to know that her story matters, her experiences matter, and that healing is possible.

Why I Work With Women

One of the greatest privileges of my work is helping women reconnect with the strength they often struggle to see in themselves. Again and again, I meet women who are thoughtful, compassionate, and incredibly capable, yet often hold themselves to impossible standards.

They may question themselves, worry about disappointing others, or feel pressure to get everything right. No matter how much they accomplish, the goalposts keep moving.

Learning to trust yourself can be profoundly transformative. Therapy can help you move beyond self-doubt, rely less on reassurance from others, and feel more confident in your own judgment.

My Approach

I believe therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and grounded in what matters most to you. I work from a trauma-informed perspective, integrating IFS-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy.

Together, we'll explore the patterns, beliefs, and expectations that may be contributing to anxiety and self-doubt. We'll work toward helping you rely less on reassurance from others, set healthier boundaries, strengthen your relationships, and trust yourself more.

At the heart of my work is knowing that women carry incredible resilience—even when anxiety, trauma, or life make it difficult to see. Therapy can be a place where you reconnect with that strength and begin creating a life that feels more authentic and aligned with who you truly are.
